Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North and The Blaze’s Buck Sexton Coming to Charleston for Defend Freedom Tour

Arlington, Va. – Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North and The Blaze’s Buck Sexton are coming to Charleston on Saturday, July 11, as part of Concerned Veterans for America’s (CVA) 23-city Defend Freedom Tour.

Through the Defend Freedom Tour, CVA is building a movement of veterans, military families, and patriotic Americans to preserve the freedom and prosperity that we and our families so proudly fought and sacrificed to defend.

This free, family-friendly event features inspirational speakers with a message of freedom, including Sexton and Lieutenant Colonel North and others, along with a patriotic concert.

OliverNorthLieutenant Colonel Oliver North is a combat-decorated U.S. Marine, a #1 best-selling author, the founder of a small business, a syndicated columnist, and the host of “War Stories” on Fox News Channel.  LTC North graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and served 22 years as a Marine officer.  His awards for service in combat include the Silver Star, the Bronze Star for valor and two Purple Hearts for wounds in action.

North serves on the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association and is the founder of Freedom Alliance, a foundation providing college scholarships to the sons and daughters of U.S. military personnel killed in the line of duty.

Formerly, Buck served as a CIA Officer in the Counterterrorism Center (CTC) and the Office of Iraq Analysis. He completed tours of duty as an intelligence officer in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other hotspots around the globe, and led intelligence briefings for senior U.S. officials including President George W. Bush & Vice President Dick Cheney. Buck also served the New York Police Department (NYPD) Intelligence Division working on counterterrorism and counter-radicalization issues

The Charleston Defend Freedom Tour is from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at The Citadel Alumni Center’s Courvoisie Banquet Hall (69 Hagood Ave. in Charleston) on Saturday, July 11. Free admission also includes a complimentary barbeque dinner.
